I love to get my food into my mouth. It’s a pleasure to have my hands and mouth at my disposal to go about cooking. I love to look up recipes, read up on what the ingredients are like, and what my food will be like as I prepare it. I love the tactile sense of being able to feel the texture of my food and taste it.
Being able to taste and touch your food is so important to me. Its one of the things that has led me to become a vegan. I love the texture of my food and I love the feeling that it has when I do eat it. I love the taste. I love the process of working with it to turn a recipe into a meal.
I love a lot of things. I love to cook. I love to eat. I love the taste and the sound of a dish, the smell of a dish, the taste and the heat of an oven, the sound of my daughter’s voice as she scolds me when I’ve made a bad batch of spaghetti, or even just the sound of my own voice when I’m making a bowl of soup. I love all of it. I really do.
A lot of people who have been cooking all of their life tend to get a little confused when they first start to learn how to cook. For some reason they all want to get right up to the task of making the perfect soup. So they get all excited and jump into the task of boiling water and throwing in the veggies. Others like myself, want to get right down to the recipe and start making the food, using the perfect ingredients.
I’m going to say that this is one of those things that you can’t really get right. I’m not saying never use the exact measurements, I’m just saying that if you’re using a measuring cup, it’s going to be different from the recipe. Some things really are just different.
You cannot make a perfect soup, as it turns out. Cooking is a science and when you use a recipe, it is not always the same consistency. When I cook, I keep notes on the amount of onions, carrots, celery, and how much of each ingredient I used. I don’t always have a cookbook handy to go back to, so I mix things up and vary.
I can’t remember where I found this recipe, but if you’re using a measuring cup, its going to be different from the recipe. Some things really are just different.
I think the important thing to remember about cooking is that it is art and you can make something totally different and delicious with the same ingredients.
I love the way the people on this site are writing about the game, and it feels like what they’re saying is true. In other words, while it may seem like you are cooking a new game, it is true. I want to try to get back to the point that I’m cooking a new game, and I really love the feedback we’ve gotten from people like James and Ben. As they mentioned, it feels like they’ve been doing a really good job of this.
I just want to thank you for all the wonderful feedback weve received so far! I hope you can all forgive us for not being as responsive with you as youve been with us. It is just the way it is.
