By I am a recent graduate of college who is looking for work for a summer. The thing that I am most looking for is a job that pays enough to afford the things I need, but not so much that I spend the rest of my time complaining and wallowing in self-pity. The teachers didn’t really care. They were just trying to make sure that the students were ready to take their tests. But over time, the students started to care about the material.
So your goal is to get good in college. But the most important thing is you don’t get stuck in a job you hate. So many people who have been in the corporate environment have found themselves stuck by the way the world works.
This is why the companies that don’t hire people with a track record of going above and beyond in the classroom are generally considered to be bad companies. People leave a job they hate and a company they don’t like because they are stuck by the system. The problem with the corporate culture is that it encourages people to stay. The people that are the ones that have the most to gain are those that move to another company, especially if they are at a higher level of a position.
